1. Install the Software Manager on the Server

Download the Network License version:.When downloading your CIMCO software, ensure you select the version with Network Licensing.

Select a Custom Install:.For network licenses, choose a custom installation and install the Software Manager on the computer that will host the network license server.

2. Launch the Software Manager
- After installation, find and launch the CIMCO Software Manager on the server.
3. Select and Activate the License File
- In the Software Manager, click "Choose license file".
- Navigate to and select your CIMCO Network License file (often an activation file).
- The program will likely prompt you to activate the license. Confirm to continue with the online activation process.
- Upon successful activation, a confirmation message will appear.

4. Start the License Server
- Once the license file is loaded and activated, click the "Start" button within the Software Manager to begin the Network Licensing Service.
- This will start the license server and make it available to clients.
5. Allow Firewall Access
- When the service starts, your Windows firewall may prompt you to allow CIMCO Software Manager to create a rule to permit client access.
- Click "Yes": to ensure clients can reach the license server.
6. Client Machines Connect
- On client PCs, the CIMCO software will now automatically detect and check out a license from the running license server.
