Anti-aliasing is unselectable in my PowerShape options. Adjust the .con file to force compulsion, and make it selectable.
Issue
PowerShape line quality is poor, but the anti-aliasing option cannot be set to smooth the appearance, as it is undetectable.
NOTE: This solution is for all versions of Windows and will likely be needed if your graphics card and its drivers are unable to access the Anti-aliasing options within PowerShape and/or Nvidia Control Panel.
Answer
To allow the checkbox to be selected, do the following:
- Close every running instance of PowerShape.
- Browse folders and go to C:\Program Files\Autodesk\PowerShape <product version>\sys\misc.
- Open the file powershape.con with a text editor (NotePad++.exe).
- Search the following lines:
#ogl_aa_renderer_string: Quadro 10000
- Remove the # symbol from the beginning of the line.
- Save the file powershape.con on PC desktop and replace the original file in C:\Program Files\Autodesk\PowerShape <product version>\sys\misc.
- Start PowerShape, check if the anti-aliasing option in File > Options > Application Options > View > Views is now available, and ensure it is checked on.
- Open a new file to check if the anti-aliasing is working.
