If you have multiple graphics cards on your Windows computer, you may want to set up a specific application to use a particular card. This can be useful if you have a high-performance graphics card that you want to use for high-demanding applications.

Answer

Setting the application in Windows

  1. Right-click on the desktop and select Display settings

  2. Scroll down and click on Graphics settings

  3. Under Choose an app to set preference, click on "Browse"

  4. Navigate to the executable file of the application you want to set a preference for and select it. PowerMill is located here C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Autodesk PowerMill {VERSION}

     

  5. Click on Options

  6. Select High performance to use the high-performance graphics card

  7. Click on Save to apply the changes
