The warning message is displayed and does not allow the user access to PowerShape. A problem with the shareddb folder is likely causing the lock out.
Issue
When PowerShape is launched, the following error message is displayed:
Warning: semaphore file C:/ Users/Public/Public Documents/Autodesk/shareddb/<problematic_file> is locking access to shared database files.

***If the pathway states Autodesk/shareddb***
Replacing the Autodesk shareddb folder
- Close PowerShape
- Browse to the shareddb folder on your PC > rename the folder to "OLDshareddb"
- C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Autodesk\shareddb
- Download the attached Autodesk folder and extract the folder
- Move the shareddb folder into the same directory
- Restart PowerShape
***If the pathway states Delcam/shareddb***
Replacing the Delcam/shareddb folder
- Close PowerShape
- Browse to the shareddb folder on your PC > rename the folder to "OLDshareddb"
- C:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Delcam\shareddb
- Download the attached Autodesk folder and extract the folder
- Move the shareddb folder into the same directory
- Restart PowerShape
